Road Trip '20: Irwin, ID → Nyssa, OR

On the morning we left our stay in Irwin, ID, we found this really awesome yurt located in Nyssa, OR, and decided that location is where we’d spend our last night together. We had about a 5.5 hour drive ahead of us, and we knew we wanted to stop at a lake about midway.

Lake Walcott was seemingly on the way, but what we didn’t know is that the lake’s entrance (or at least where Google Maps lead us to) was reaaaalllly off the beaten path. Getting to the lake was a bit frustrating and our driving time was significantly increased, but we eventually laughed it off and found a spot to dip in.

After our lake adventure, we ate lunch at Perrine Bridge (again, but this time with friends) in Twin Falls, ID. I’m glad Marsh and I were able to stop for a second time because the first time we visited, the weather wasn’t the best.

We didn’t arrive to our destination in Nyssa, OR, until around 10 p.m., but our host was really sweet and understanding. Photos from that yurt location are in in the next post! 😁
