A Girls Trip to Kimberly, OR

Jaz and I were able to take a few summer days off work and travel to Kimberly, OR, which is nearby the Painted Hills. Neither of us were familiar with Kimberly, and it’s really in the middle of nowhere, but we were able to find that area by searching the “Unique stays” houses on Airbnb.

Before we arrived to our Airbnb, we stopped in Maupin, OR, to visit our friend Kate for a short while!

We pulled up to our Airbnb just as dusk was setting, and we spent a few minutes with Jody, the host. We didn’t take any photos that first night, but Jody was great, the land indeed was “unique”, and we were so happy to have chosen that spot.

This was me well-rested the next morning, cuddling with Jaz’s dog, Little Anne. 😊

The hot tub was heated by a stove fire, and we could see “Wedding Cake Mountain” when soaking.

Before we headed to the Painted Hills, Jaz and I stopped in Mitchell, Oregon, which is this tiny, quaint town just outside of the Painted Hills. There, we ate some lunch, had a beer, chatted with some local men, and visited the outdoor “gift shop” and museum.

Before heading back to our Airbnb, we stopped at this grocery store and grabbed some food for the night.
