Maui, Day 4: "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"

Sooooo, as most of you likely know, Marshal and I are engaged. 😆🎉💍☀️ We have been since May of this year when Marsh proposed on our family Maui trip!! I honestly had NO idea that he was going to pop the question, despite him accidentally sending me a photo of the Etsy “placeholder” ring three days before we went on vacation. (He meant to send the photo to his sister, Vanessa, but he played it off as if he was just trying to get an idea of what style ring I prefer.) The proposal took place on Baby Beach in Lahaina, and because of the beach’s name, I genuinely thought we were going there as a family so the two babes could get some ocean time.

Like, listen, below is us just a few hours before we left for Baby Beach:

Speaking of being oblivious, at Baby Beach, I still had no idea as to what was about to happen, and I asked Michelle, Marshal’s sister-in-law (and my future sister-in-law!!) to take a photo of us with the beautiful, stormy clouds and green palm trees in the background. Little did I know, she was also filming us and I think trying to get my goofy bum in the ocean so Marshal could get down on one knee. Well, I didn’t get the memo, and below is that video that she took. 😂😂😂

The actual photo, though, is still one of my favorites from the trip. Marshal is as cool as a cucumber!!

Once he got me in the ocean, he knelt down, and I finally started to understand what was happening. Embarrassingly enough, I basically just kept repeating, “Are you serious?!” in a whiny, basic B voice, but hey, that’s just who I am. 😂

So, we’ve talked about getting married before, of course, and I told him that as long as it’s documented, I don’t care how he proposes. He did well with the planning, and I’m SO THANKFUL for these photos and videos that Vanessa and Michelle took. I’ll cherish this moment forever, and we’re able to look back on this time whenever we want. You can view our special moment below, and hey, you’ve been warned - I say “Are you serious?!” like 14 times, and I also, strangely enough, keep backing away from Marshal’s sweet ass.
